What is Listen Up Digital Marketing?
Listen Up Digital Marketing is a hand-curated directory of digital marketing podcasts, videocasts and ‘how-to’ content.
Our main goal is to help digital marketers looking to level up their podcast and videocast marketing skills find shows, educational content and trending news to learn from.
We also provide audio and video creators another opportunity to showcase their content and talent.
Our directories are simple, hand-curated resources. We work hard to share the best audio and video marketing content we find, hoping it will help creators and businesses succeed.
This site is easy to use, free of annoying pop-ups and updated regularly.
The Podcast Directory
There are differences between podcasts, videocasts and video shows but here, we lump them all together and list by digital marketing category.
- Podcasts are audio-only files.
- Videocasts are podcasts with a video element. They are also called vodcasts.
- Video shows are viewed on demand. They are usually found on YouTube.
- Webcasts, webinars or web shows are live-streamed. We do not focus on them.
Here’s a fun fact – according to eMarketer, there are
“464.7 million worldwide podcast listeners. That’s 22% of all Internet users. By 2025, global listeners are expected to surpass 500 million“.

Our goal is to be diverse and inclusive; we list podcasts/vodcasts from large and small brands as long as they meet our criteria and fall into one of our categories.
What Are Your Podcast Directory Listing Criteria?
To get a show listed in our Listen Up Digital Marketing Podcast Directory, production schedules must be current (within 30 days), shows must be done at least twice a month and must display broadcast dates if they are not on a platform like Spotify, Apple or YouTube.
Our job is to list digital marketing shows, not critique them.
However, since people with opinions work here, we will highlight a podcast with its cover image if we feel it has much to offer.
Are You Endorsing Podcasts/Vodcasts by Listing Them?
No. Listen Up Digital Marketing does not endorse or sponsor shows included in our directories; no one has paid to be listed here. We list what we find based on our criteria.
This includes the podcasts we highlight with images. They have not paid for these spots; we think the content is better than average, so we highlight it.
Who Writes the Show Descriptions?
We do. We may tweak the official show description, but generally, they are crafted based on what we hear and see.
You Say “No Junk”. What Does That Mean?
If an article, podcast or video show is overly promotional, we probably won’t list it. We understand people create content to attract attention, but when it’s too much, it’s too much.
What is the Content Marketing Service?
Our Content Marketing Service is for podcasts, videocasts and video shows listed in our Podcast Directory.
This unique program is a link-building and content amplification service rolled into one. It’s a great way to gain exposure and backlinks for your digital marketing podcast or video show.
The News Roundup
We look for and curate links from hundreds of sources creating how-to and educational content that helps a digital marketer learn/use podcast and video marketing.
We also include news from social networks, search engines and podcast/videocast service providers.
All our sources come from brands we’ve researched, vetted and added to an in-house database. We do not accept one-off articles of any kind.
Exceptional ‘how-to’ articles/content featured in The News Roundup will be added to our How-To Library.
NO ONE pays to be included in The News Roundup. We shy away from badly written content that is overly promotional and full of affiliate links.
We curate content on any digital marketing topic as long as it educates, informs or shares ‘how-to’ type ideas.
To be added to our database, your site must have,
- An About page showing a photo of the management team/consultant plus a company mission statement.
- A company or personal LinkedIn profile.
- A blog/resource center or article library that updates at least twice a month.
- Articles/blog posts/newsletters – must display publish dates.
- At least one active social network. (TwitterX, Instagram, Threads, etc).
- A contact page listing an email address and/or telephone number plus a contact form.
- Professional industry affiliations/certifications/awards displayed.
You can assume you’re in our database if your content is included in one of our roundups. Your website will remain a resource unless you stop publishing (at least) twice a month or ask to be removed.
When an article is selected, we hyperlink the title, include the business name (source) and provide a short, original recap about the article’s content.
The How-To Library
If you need insight or want to read more on a specific pod/vodcast topic but don’t want to search the Web for multiple sources, check out our library of ‘how-to’ articles for inspiration.
We cut through the clutter and chaos and share links to useful content marketers can learn from.
The How-To Library hosts links to:
- How-to articles.
- Tutorials.
- Case studies.
- White papers that educate.
- Step-by-step guides.
- Instructional listicles.
Pulled from hundreds of sources across the Web, our article collection is broken into 11 categories and constantly updated.
We include a short synopsis of the article and a link to the original source.
Each article added to our content library is carefully vetted by our Editors and must be written as a ‘how-to’, tutorial, case study or step-by-step guide. We only include content that shares ‘how’ and ‘why’ on a specific digital marketing topic.
If your content links back to your website consistently throughout the article or uses your tool(s) or content exclusively as examples, it is too promotional for our library.
How Can We Be Added To The How-To Library?
All the content we list in The How-To Library comes from what we feature in The News Roundup. (See above).
Exceptional ‘how-to’ articles shared in The News Roundup are added to our How-To Library. Content will remain in the library until it becomes dated or found to be incorrect.
We list the article or video title and company name, include a short, unique description and hyperlink to the source.
If you are sharing how-to content on social media, we’ll notice.
Featured Content Program
Featured content (or sponsored content) is content an author/company pays to publish. The content we use needs to be consistent with the categories in our podcast directory and how-to library and be well-written.
The featured content hosted here will be marked as such, and the “rel=sponsored” attribute will be used.
When featured content is submitted for consideration, here is what we look for:
- Articles that educate. This can be a how-to, a case study, a white paper, rebuttals, etc.
- Articles must be on topics found in our podcast directory categories.
- Content needs to be unique with original titles.
- Content that is well-written, informative, grammatically correct and free of spelling errors. (We offer editing services for a fee.)
- Articles 600+ words long.
- Image attribution.
- Content free of defamatory or abusive remarks about any people, place or thing.
- No political content or political references.
- Content using facts, percentages or numerical statements must cite the original source as verification.
- Articles free of promotional pitches and affiliate links.

This is a small directory of podcast and video tools.
We list analytics, editing, hosting, planning, promotion, recording and transcription tools. You cannot pay to be added to the tool directory.
Tools are added as we find them and may take advantage of affiliate links. We donate 100% of advertising fees to charity.
